Development and Finance Director
Following a highly successful career in dance including three years dancing all over the world with Hot Gossip , Phillippa qualified as a personal trainer and one of the first Pilates teachers in London, becoming one of the original, and most successful, self employed trainers in central London in the early 1990s. In 2001 she sold her training business to form Raw Fitness (now RCH) with Mick Rolton.
As RCH’s Development and Finance Director she works closely with the client and the client’s team of architects and designers to achieve a cost effective solution in terms of space, design, usage and operation solutions.
She has also successfully worked with many interior designers and architects on projects and is continuing to do so, extending the spa look to the gyms with an organic feel. With expert knowledge of both Health Clubs and suppliers both in the UK and the industry-leading US, Phillippa sees an opportunity to anticipate future trends in Europe and the Middle East.
My job is to meet the client’s expectation in the fully finished product of gym and spa design, taking into account all future operation procedures, providing the design flow and the ultimate experience for the end user and to project manage the process to opening.
Mick Rolton
Operations Manager
Mick’s degree in sports Science and business studies led him in the early 90s to a role as Fitness Professional and Personal Trainer at the Broadgate Club in the City, at the time regarded as one of the top clubs in the country. He then went on to become an independent Personal Trainer, building up a top-end client base.
In 2001 he joined with Phillippa Hardman to form RCH where he is Operations Director. Mick has developed a successful SOP for all aspect of Gyms and Spas and has a coaching and personal development-focused strategy for recruiting, hiring, training and retaining all of RCH’s management staff, fitness professionals/personal trainers and therapists.
Under his management structure, RCH’s proactive operational strategy for the corporate sites has resulted in a consistent facility usage of over 50% of employees (the industry average for corporate fitness usage is 30%). He has also developed a cost-effective model for residential leisure facilities that can work on a worldwide basis.
