History

A leading global investment manager delivering exceptional results for its clients for more than 12 years. It currently manages net client assets of more than $24 billion for both high net worth individuals and institutions. Their main office is based in the West End.

Strategy

Since inception, this successful financial institution has always aimed to attract and retain the highest-calibre staff. They recognised that even the most ambitious and talented of employees need a health support system so they can perform at their optimum. With the job requiring long hours, it is hard for an employee to keep healthy and thereby productive. Also, if an employee was a member of an external health club, they could be out of contact for up to 90 minutes due to travel time as well as exercising. This could found to be extremely wasteful due to the nature of the job and market fluctuations.

Approach

One way to achieve this was the introduction of an on-site gym. This organisation also realised how important the quality of support should be. With this in mind, RCH were chosen in 2001 to implement these changes by designing, installing and managing the quality corporate health facility. With on-site gym access, employees they can exercise at a time convenient for them and the organisation whatever time of day. Unlike external gyms, they can be contacted immediately if needed. RCH offers quarterly reports and meetings to keep the organisation updated on gym adherence. The site offers:

With our pro-active intranet system, we see on average 60% of all staff using the gym. The site has been so successful that the gym was fully refurbished in June 2007.
